EW Nutrition welcomes two additions in key global roles

VISBEK, JANUARY 2025 – EW Nutrition confirms two names were added to key positions in its global team. From January 2025, Marie Gallissot and Nadia Yacoubi have joined the German-headquartered animal nutrition company.

Marie Gallissot joins as Category Manager Feed Quality Solutions, with a rich background and over 15 years’ experience in toxin solutions and feed management. She is going to oversee a portfolio comprising toxin binders, antioxidants, acidifiers and more, working in close collaboration with regional affiliates as well as connected platforms in EW Nutrition.

Nadia Yacoubi joins as Phytogenic Products Manager inside EW Nutrition’s Gut Health platform. With a doctoral degree in Veterinary Sciences, held jointly from Ghent and Nantes universities, she brings 10+ years of technical expertise in the field of gut health, as well as animal husbandry and food safety.

“We’ve had a quick and comprehensive onboarding in Germany,”, says Nadia Yacoubi, “and we’re both already joining meetings in EW Nutrition’s regional and global teams, which is a great way to hit the ground running.” With this hands-on approach, adds Marie Gallissot, “it’s easy to get acquainted with the people, the passion, and the energy driving EW Nutrition forward.”

EW Nutrition appoints two new Regional Directors

VISBEK, 6 January 2025 – EW Nutrition, a leading player in the global animal health and nutrition industry, has appointed two top industry professionals to lead the SEAP and China teams, respectively. After another year of geographical and commercial expansion, EW Nutrition has recently announced that Gert-Jan Gerrits and Hai Xia Zhu will lead two of its most important growth regions.

Starting with January 1st, Hai Xia Zhu will lead EW Nutrition’s China team. With a background of more than 15 years in leadership roles in animal protein production, she takes over a growing business in a highly promising market. “EW Nutrition’s team in China has already demonstrated excellence in providing customer-centric solutions. I’m happy to lead the team into the next chapter of our growth.”

Also from January 1st, Gert-Jan Gerrits takes over the South East Asia and Pacific unit, bringing more than 20 years of experience leading teams in the animal farming, health, and nutrition industry. He will be located in Singapore. “I’m extremely pleased with the welcome I have received in EW Nutrition, and quite impressed with the range of powerful solutions and capabilities it brings to the SEAP market. Gustavo Tesolin appointed Regional Director of EW Nutrition LATAM

29 January 2024, Visbek – German-based company EW Nutrition, a global provider of functional animal nutrition solutions, has appointed Gustavo Carlos Tesolin as its Regional Director for Latin America.

An agricultural engineer by training, Gustavo Tesolin has forged an international career in the Animal Health business during the last 25 years. With different leadership roles in several major international organizations such as Novartis, Elanco, and Erber Group, Mr. Tesolin brings along important experience in Commercial Operations, P&L drive, and Strategy execution, with special emphasis on team development and geographic expansion.

Jan has a PhD degree in microbiology and is an experienced manager in animal health and nutrition, having held leadership roles at DSM, Erber Group, Biomin and Kemin.

EW Nutrition acquires Feed Quality and Pigment business from Novus International

VISBEK (February 1, 2021) – EW Nutrition has today completed the acquisition of the Feed Quality and Pigments business from Novus International, Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, EW Nutrition becomes the owner of world-renowned brands such as Santoquin® feed preservative, SURF●ACE®, a feed mill processing aid, and feed ingredient Agrado®. The acquisition also gives EW Nutrition ownership of a state-of-the-art production facility in Constantí, Spain.

EW Nutrition launches new xylanase enzyme in Malaysia

Singapore – December 28, 2020 – In its continued efforts to reduce antibiotic use in the region while also improving farm profitability, EW Nutrition launched Axxess® XY in Malaysia on December 17, 2020.

Axxess® XY is a next-generation intrinsically thermostable xylanase, with unparalleled stability under high temperatures and especially longer conditioning time. With its ability to break down both the soluble and insoluble fiber fraction from feed ingredients, the enzyme offers high flexibility in feed formulation. The newly launched product thus gives feed producers peace of mind when working with various feed processing conditions, as well as significant feed cost savings.

The launch took place in the context of a customer online event titled “Revolutions in Poultry Nutrition: The Future of Enzymes” for customers in Malaysia. During the information-laden event, Dr. Howard Simmins, an accomplished global communicator and independent key opinion leader, highlighted the need for improved functionality from xylanases. On 29 October, German-based company EW Nutrition will officially open its new production plant in China. The new plant is the next step in the successful development of EWN Biotechnology Shanghai.

By offering holistic, science-backed solutions, EW Nutrition supports the Chinese industry in its effort to reduce antibiotic use. “With this latest investment,” says Craige Allen, General Manager, EWN Biotechnology Shanghai, “we are offering a twofold benefit to our Chinese customers: bringing our high-value products closer to the end-user, while implementing our policy of supporting antibiotic-free production in China.”

The new facility in Haimen will produce the three leading product lines in the company’s portfolio.
