{"id":269715,"date":"2026-07-29T12:48:25","date_gmt":"2026-07-29T10:48:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ew-nutrition.com\/eu-guidance-values-for-key-mycotoxins-in-animal-feeds\/"},"modified":"2026-07-29T12:59:47","modified_gmt":"2026-07-29T10:59:47","slug":"eu-guidance-values-for-key-mycotoxins-in-animal-feeds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ew-nutrition.com\/us\/eu-guidance-values-for-key-mycotoxins-in-animal-feeds\/","title":{"rendered":"EU guidance values for key mycotoxins in animal feeds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">By Marie Gallissot, Global Manager Feed Quality Solutions, EW Nutrition<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"padding-top: 0;\">EU guidance values for key mycotoxins in animal feeds<\/h3>\n<p>After years of discussions, and the publication by EFSA of several scientific opinions in the past 10 years, the new EC recommendation on the presence of deoxynivalenol (DON), zearalenone (ZEA), ochratoxin A (OTA), T-2 and HT-2 toxins (T-2\/HT-2) and fumonisins (FB1+2) in feed is out!<br \/>\nEW Nutrition dissected the new recommendation \u2013 see below the summary of the key points.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><strong>2006 : first recommendation of mycotoxin levels in raw materials and feed destined to animal feed is published (2006\/576\/EC).<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n\u2022 Toxicity for animals is recognized, risk for humans (consuming animal products) is considered marginal<br \/>\n\u2022 T-2\/HT-2 not considered, by lack of data and reliable analytical method.
